I'lol have to go cos I need to visit what laughingly passes as our Post Office now - a counter in our newsagents. It works but it's a shame we are losing the traditional local small post offices.

I shall go from there to school, get him changed then take him to his self-defence class.

See you later Emma <3 :-D

Yes I do Joy, love reading and have a few on my kindle
that have been on for ages :-D

From ancient Egypt to crime etc, I know more about
English Kings and Queens than I do about the Scottish ones :-D

Just goggled it and found something about it under a David Cameron headline. I bought it around 2012/2013 in our local Waterstone's.

I used to take the young un to the library as his parents made him a member before he even started school, but our local library's hours have been much reduced. There's the large one in the centre of town but even that's open for fewer hours and not at all on Sunday's now which is a big disappointment.

I think it will be OK for him, Emma. It's a history book entitled 'Our Island Story', written by H E Marshall. It's been out years. I wanted to make sure the mentions of executions and such were not gory-fied. He's still at primary school but he's a good and avid reader. He likes Tom Gates novels and David Walliams books too.

I have a Harlan Coben novel waiting for me when I've finished this Marshall book ..... aNd a list of three others to read.

Do you put together lists of books you'd like to read, Emma?

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 4 Jan 2016 15:34

Me too Joy but history top of list.

Good idea to read before handing over to
the young one :-)

JoyLouise Report 4 Jan 2016 15:28

No Emma. It is something I'd pick up. My reading list is wide and varied. :-)

At the moment I am almost finished a book for the young un. Before I gave it to him. I thought I'd read it to check there was nothing unsuitable in it. :-)

If it makes you happy Joy that's all that matters. :-D

We are all singers in my family although I must admit
my voice is not as strong as it used to be. :-)

My mum and dad were good singers and boy could
they harmonise.....happy memories <3
