I am still having problems with my tree loading up, also on my relative list some of the people have appeared more than one. How can i delete the one i don't want, i don't seem to be able to get into anything, is anyone else having problems, is it the server?

It was actually four years ago that the tree format changed.

A tree can be considered large if it has tens of thousands of entries, typically a tree of four thousand entries will display within ten seconds and search results will be displayed within a second..

It sounds as if it's a Server problem at Genes end. As you've also managed to post the same thing twice, it would suggest you were getting an 'Error' message. Try accessing BBC.co.uk as that normally has a fast connection which can rule out your own Internet response speed.
Is your tree particularly large as that sometimes slows things down.

Thanks for that, I have tried that and a box opens (not a tree) is this right? with the person I want but when I click on the name it just starts buffering but then throws me out, is it something I am doing wrong.

Open your tree and click on Immediate Family, at the left end of the title bar, just under Genes name. This reduces the number of relatives on the screen and makes it more manageable.

To find the person you want to add a relative to, click Search Trees, top right corner, enter the name you want, and click search. Then click on the name and a small tree will open with your relative high-lighted in the middle. Then choose Edit, or Add and put in the details.

Don't forget to Save your changes,

I have not done anything on my tree for at least 3 year. I am struggling to add anyone, apparently the format changed a couple of years ago and although I can access my list of relatives my whole tree seems to of disappeared. It used to be really easy to add people but I can't seem to work it out, it does not seem to work, even following the instructions does not help, can anyone help.
I am getting very frustrated with it.
