One of the good things (for me) about being retired is not having to get up early these dark mornings. BUT this morning I had an appointment for a fasting blood test at 0840 :-( :-( I feel as if I have been up all day already.
I forgot how many people are actually up and about at that time, all those eager little faces on their way to school. Still one good thing, BP checked and good (for me apparently) at 125/74.

Joy Louise, yes it is love the fact i can lie in when it is dark and frosty. And no i was never one of those either. But it was great to see so many actually walking to school instead of being taken by car.
Sue, Beryl (the nurse) read out, when I asked what was being tested read out a list which, I think was very similar to yours. Just a couple not on mine that are on yours I think.
We had a couple of years when all those on BP medication and statins were called in to a special clinic once a year and that is when the fasting blood tests were done. However that seems to have died a death and I had not had my blood tested for a couple of years so decided to make my own appointment.

Ann its good to hear your BP was good. I had a review last Tuesday with the nurse. She called a doctor in who doublde my BP tablet Losartan from 50mg to 100mg. Never told me what my BP was but can imagine it was high. I had to go back yesterday to have a fasting blood test. Poor nurse could not get one drop of blood out of left arm so she then went for the right. Have bruises on both arms now and as you say that early in the morning makes it a long day lol

Ann I always ask what my BP is, usually the nurse shows me the screen so I can compare with previous times. Fortunately I have never yet had a problem with veins and sh was very gentle but I still have a small bruise.
