Warren Gatland has announced the Wales Team to face Scotland on Saturday .....

AND WALES, HERE ARE YOUR "BOYOS" :-D ;-)

WALES <3

Backs:
15. Liam Williams
14. George North
13. Jonathan Davies
12. Jamie Roberts
11. Tom James
10. Dan Biggar
9. Gareth Davies

Forwards:
1. Rob Evans
2. Scott Baldwin
3. Samson Lee
4. Luke Charteris
5. Alun Wyn Jones
6. Sam Warburton (Captain),
7. Justin Tipuric
8. Taulupe Faletau

Replacements:
16. Ken Owens
17. Gethin Jenkins
18. Tomas Francis
19. Bradley Davies
20. Dan Lydiate
21. Lloyd Williams
22. Rhys Priestland
23. Gareth Anscombe

Waren Gatland was so pleased with his team v Ireland last Sunday that he has picked an UNCHANGED SIDE to face Scotland this Saturday.

AND OUR DAN BIGGAR <3 IS FIT AND PLAYING! :-) :-)

Dan sustained a foot/ ankle injury within the first few minutes of Wales' opening game v Ireland, and had to be replaced shortly afterwards.
I am convinced Wales would have won that game had this not happened!

LIAM WILLIAMS was a last minute replacement for an injured GARETH ANSCOMBE at Full-Back (15) last Sunday.

Liam, Wales' First Choice Full-Back, sustained a serious foot injury at the World Cup last Autumn, had not even been put on the Replacements Bench for the Ireland v Wales game last weekend to make sure his recovery was complete.

Liam has proven that he is sufficiently fit to start today!
Gareth Anscombe has now taken Alex Cuthbert's place on the bench.

Saturday February 13th

WALES <3 v SCOTLAND ......... Kick Off 4.50pm
Cardiff

LIVE ON BBC1 ....... and RADIO JEM ;-) :-D

Hi Gang and Rugby Fans :-) :-) :-) <3

Well, we had a wonderful opening week to this years Six Nations Championship, with some very exciting games!

It would have been even better if Wales had beaten Ireland of course!! ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D
Sorry Ireland Fans :-)
Never mind, Wales will fight another day! :-)

NEITHER WALES NOR IRELAND CAN NOW WIN THE TRIPLE CROWN (beating UK/Ireland teams)
Only Scotland or England can now win the Triple Crown.

Nor can Wales or Ireland win the GRAND SLAM. To win this, they would need to win ALL their games.

BUT ANY OF THE TEAMS CAN YET WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

SO WALES <3 WILL FIGHT ANOTHER DAY! ;-) ;-) :-D

THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES SCHEDULE COMING UP! :-) :-)

Many thanks Radio Jem for another brilliant commentary today. I now understand the points system a little better and can see why our Grandson was hoping for a draw.

You are a mine of info Radio Jem, thanks for sharing it. I hope you can rest up a little now, before the rugby game next week.

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2016 19:00

THIS SIX NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP 2016

The Six Nations Championship is not a straightforward Knock-Out Competition.
The winner is decided on a POINTS SYSTEM.

A winning team is awarded 2 Points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for losing the game.

At the end of the Championship, the team that has the highest (total) points will win.

Where two or more teams are level, each having the same amount of points, the winner is decided by POINTS DIFFERENCE.
This is determined by adding up all the points a team has scored from each game. Then taking away the total of points scored against the same team in each match.
That will give a Points Difference Score.

The team with the highest Points Difference Score will win.

PL = Games Played
W = Games Won
D = Games Drawn
L = Games Lost

THE WINNER WILL BE THE TEAM WITH THE HIGHEST TOTAL POINTS

WHAT IF TEAMS TIE?

PF = Points For (The Total of points the team has scored)
PA = Points Against (The total of points scored against that same team)

PD = POINTS DIFFERENCE ( The score when the PA have been deducted from PF)

This only comes into play if one or more teams are tied at the end of the Championship
Then the team who has tied with another, but has a higher Points Difference will win!

SIX NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP 2016 LEAGUE TABLE
following Round 1-

1. ENGLAND: PL 1; W 1; D 0; L 0; PF 15; PA 9; PD +6 ....Total Points 2

2. FRANCE: PL 1; W 1; D 0; L 0; PF 23; PA 21; PD +2 ...... Total Points 2

3. IRELAND: PL 1; W 0; D 1; L 0; PF 16; PA 16; PD 0 ........ Total Points 1

4. WALES: PL 1. W 0; D 1; L 0; PF 16; PA 16; PD 0 .......... Total Points 1

5. ITALY: PL 1; W 0; D 0; L 1; PF 21; PA 23; PD -2 ............ Total Points 0

6. SCOTLAND : PL 1; W 0; D 0; L 1; PF 9; PA 15; PD -6 ... Total Points 0

SO ENGLAND ARE IN THE LEAD AT THE END OF ROUND 1!
