I have just checked the link Rollo, thank you, it looks fairly easy to understand so I have book marked it and will study it. :-)

Just check which button is the ejector seat, you don't want to hit it by mistake!

I do, at the moment have every intention of trying to at least understand what the keys along the top are for. And also the mouse has several different 'things' on it. Had I known you had one I would have asked. It wasn't super expensive, but wasn't cheap either. My worst problem with keyboards is having the key letters etc wearing off. I guess I don't type correctly not being able to touch type.

I am neither a gamer or a spread sheet whizz kid or code jockey (whatever that is), I use mine for letter writing, photographic stuff, excell etc, ordinary stuff.

thank you for the link Rollo.

Island.... And it doesn't always. But does keep this septagenarian brain active.

you should have asked I have one in my spares box doing nothing.
Here is the manual:
http://www.logitech.com/assets/52354/logitech-wireless-combo-mk620.pdf
tho' there is nothing very remarkable about it.

Gamers tend to go for highly customisable keyboards 'cos keyboard short cuts are much faster than proddding around with a mouse. For the same reason spreadsheet whizz kids and code jockeys do much the same. However wireless keyboards are too slow for gamers and have security problems so you won't see them much in offices.

Most home users rarely get around to using the features of keyboards such as the 620 but they should instead of being wholly mouse dependent.

That used to be simple? I just bought myself a new Logitech keyboard. Luckily I have an OH who could install it. I went for this one (620) because it has nice clear keys and it is great to type with. However, it is so obviously more than just a keyboard and I am so obviously thick. No book with it of course, all on line and probably all the various instructions mean something to people more intelligent than I am. It looks like a very clever keyboard. I shall endeavour to use it to its best advantage. meanwhile I am pleased at being able to type and actually see what I am pressing. And I am grateful that I no longer have a keyboard or mouse intent on doing their own thing.
