good luck Phil - you will be much missed by members - and I suspect missed even more so by the company - if they cared to admit it

All the very best Phil, you were a breath of fresh air and things on the techie side were never the same for us after you left Genes. It always felt as if you really cared how the boards operated and how we, the paying members, enjoyed our experience on Genes; whether it be genealogical or just social.

I wish you all the best in the future, I am sure, with your skill you will go on to better and better things.

thank you for putting us in the picture, we will miss you. Good luck :-) :-)

Even though we were aware that you'd left GR, it was comforting to know that you were still there, all be it in the background. Any current and future employer will have gained a real asset; someone who is passionate in what they do. We wish you well in your future endeavours.

If you get stuck with your FH research, you know where to come :-D

Good luck Phil, it was always obvious that you cared about the genealogy as much as 'the job' so thank you for all your efforts.

Hopefully we may run into you elsewhere :-)

Sorry to hear you've left the company Phil - although surprised there is anyone left at all. We, the paying members, don't seem to see much evidence that anyone works at GenesReunited anymore. You have to be a Facebook member (which I'm not) to find out anything that is going on these days.

I hope you find something where your talents are appreciated and which lets you stay in the genealogy world that you so obviously enjoy.

Dear All, I would like to just pass on my genuine thanks to all the contributors on all the Genes boards, and general members of Genes, and you support :-) and constructive criticisms ;-) while I was technical lead for Genes Reunited. I know it's been three years since I was pulled off Genes, and moved to the Findmypast Tree team, but I never stopped feeling part of the Genes community, and the product and community remain close to my heart. Sadly, the direction of the Findmypast group inc Genes and my own ambitions don't appear to be aligned anymore (not my choice), and so a month ago I left the company. It has been a dark year, but my passion for genealogy and supporting the genealogy community has not changed, and I hope to stay involved in some capacity elsewhere in the online genealogy area. I hope you continue to get the service you want and pay for, and will miss greatly the characters I have come to know over the 5 years I worked at Gr and Fmp. Take care all, and if you want to get in touch with me mail me at this GR account. Best regards Phil. :-) <3
