Vegetables?? :-S

Is this for a newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetes? Spend a bit of time reading upon various websites, and you'll soon get the hang of it. There may be talks arranged by your Diabetes team which you could attend. If you're really struggling, ask for a Dietician referral.

You have probably had your body for some time now.

You will know better than anybody what makes it feel bad or good.

I have just been recently become type 2 diabetic. Just last week OH had an appointment at our surgery with a dietican - well he does the cooking.

At the end of it all, she handed him an ifo book and all the advice she could give him was that I only had 2 croissants per week.

Everything she advised he already did - because I had done it for years. Tinned fruit in natural juice, no sugar added to drinks. Wholemeal/granary bread. Don't drink and haven't cooked with salt since Feb 1958. I had toxaemia. Basically common sense.

But about once a month I ask for my dinner to be bacon/egg/pork sausages/ blk pudding/mushrooms/tomatoes and fried bread. Apart from egg/bread and mushrooms all is grilled.

A little of what you fancy does you good. as after the first results of my blood sugars came through I had dropped from 110 to 50 and GP said if next text was lower possibly off the pills.
