Hello, I have paid for a premium members and for access to the British News papers, but when I click on a article it does not show up. Is this site a rip off or is there some reason I can see the articles?

No it's not a rip off, but there may be a glitch, if you try again and can't get it contact

If you want to post what the article is, perhaps someone on here with access can see if they can view it or if it's a general problem? There are some problems with accessing various facilities at the moment.

btw Welcome to the boards :-)

Thank you for your reply. I apologize for my hasty assumption about the validity of the site. I was just frustrated at paying for the service and then not being able to access what I was looking for.

I was wondering if it was not working because I did not have a family tree created yet. I am currently importing my Family Tree Maker file (as a GEDCOM file) to see if that is the issue.

The challenge is that there appear to be over 100 news articles that I would like to see. My grandfather (I believe) was part of family dancing act called the "Four Seltinies". When I searched for them I found many articles and advertisements. I have been able to save them to my "Keepsafe" file, but I cannot see them.

So, I will try it once I have my tree in place, and if not I will contact support.

Many thanks, Roxanne

They are mostly advertisements. I can see them o.k. so if I was you I would contact Genes if you still have trouble accessing them. It seems the group were acrobats.

Yes - my Grandfather was an acrobat, but I'm trying to figure out the association since I have no idea where the name Seltinies came from. The family name was Grubb, so perhaps they took a stage name.

I think I will let it go for a day and then if its still not working properly, I will contact support.

Thank you, Roxanne

Interested to read this as I am encountering the same problem. I see my credits go down each time I click onto an article ... then nothing appears.
I sent an email a couple of days ago to the support team but have had no reply as yet.

Jill- Support claims to reply within 3 working days even to say they are looking into this. As you have purchased credits to view the items, once you are able to see them you'd be well advised to down load them to your computer.

When access made via credits is withdrawn after 30 or 90 days depending which bundle you have purchased.
Something similar applies when they are viewed as part of a subscription. If the same level of sub is not renewed, access to all previously saved or viewed documents/census is removed.
