Elizabeth - glad you said that the Food Banks will accept soap etc. I put a load of heavily perfumed ones plus body lotion in the trolley. If they weren't suitable for their clients, hopefully they'll pass them on in some way....perhaps as raffle prizes?

Anything useful will be going to the Food Bank, Elizabeth.
I have the chocolate truffle soaps in a box ready :-S

I was pretty p*ssed when I realised this box of chocolate truffles given to me by my daughter one Christmas was actually soap :-(
The next year I had a flannel that looked like cheesecake. :-|

Edit: I shall be putting a big label on the 'chocolate truffles' saying SOAP!!!
I don't want anyone else being as disappointed as I was!

Anyone else who has the one-helping sachets like Sylvian- add them to your local Food Bank collections, remember they do also want shampoo.soap, toothpaste, loopaper

My 'finds' aren't as practical.
A Greek ceramic perfume container (unused, containing horrible perfume) - I think it was mum's - £10!!
Free gifts that came free with tea bags 20 years ago - I found a few 'loose', but know I have a box full in the attic - stil in their original boxes - at least £1 each.
Now, do I sell them, or store all potential money - making objects together, as my children's 'inheritance'?

I know I also have a Sindy house in in the attic :-(
My children are in their 30's :-S

I was doing a clear out of a bathroom cupboard a couple of weeks, and found a lot of sample sizes of shampoo and conditioner bottles, the kind you get in hotels

OK, OK, I admit it ........... I'd collected them over the last several years :-(

We also had a lot of bars of soap given to me over the last few years by people who don't realise that I only use one kind of soap..

I was about to throw them out, but then thought that I had seen similar in the Sally Ann thrift shop, selling for about 25c each.

OH was going to take them down there, but then asked someone at his church ............ B immediately said "I volunteer with a group that helps homeless women on the Downtown Eastside, and those women never have such things. We love it when we can give them some.

So, he took them over to her house, and they are now being used by women who really appreciate them. :-D

Doing a major clear out - you come across something, just about to put it in the bin, then ask yourself 'How much could I get for this on e-bay?'
