Man came to sort my aerial.
He left three quarters of an hour later.
Aerial removed from it's precarious position on next door's roof, and, I'm afraid I now have freesat, with a nasty satellite dish attached to my wall!!!

BUT, the picture is amazing, even on my ancient TV. It'll be a lot easier to screw back on, if it becomes loose, than an aerial on the roof would be, and there's no pixilation when the low flying aircraft go over.

Mind you, it cost quite a bit more than I was expecting :-(

I had a new carpet fitted two Wednesday's ago .

Thing was it was supposed to be done on the Thursday.

Was sitting in the lounge using the iPad. When the phone rang .Hi it's the carpet fitter we are at your back gate. But it's padlocked !! Yes usually is . Went out to them and said you are a day early and I,m not even showered yet, as you can see am still in my dressing gown

Well can come back tomorrow if you want Let me take a look tho to see what furniture needs to be moved.

No problem we can do it .

So left em too it and went upstairs to shower etc

Pleasant surprise ,and it looks good. Just waiting now for the new curtains to be fitted and it's a whole new room

The smell of new carpet is actually not good for us and new carpet continues to give off vapours for a long time so fresh air is important . Glad you got it done tho.

That was quick - when he eventually got there!!! :-D :-|

I have an aerial bloke coming sometime tomorrow.
My aerial is currently lying on the roof - just above next door's front door :-0
A victim of the winds we have been experiencing.
Perhaps this is the time to ask them to stop slamming their front door!!

Strangely, I can still get most of the ITV channels, and anything on any other channel that I REALLY want to watch, I've been watching on t'internet.
