There used to be a saying a while ago that you mustn't say after sales and service in the same sentence lol.

Well.....
I wanted a particular hat from Debenhams for my daughter's wedding which is next weekend.

I went into the store but the only one they had was lying on the floor, mixed with all the sale stuff and although it wasn't even in the sale, it was rather bashed and quite grubby.

The sales assistant offered to order a "fresh one" for me.
I ordered and paid for it there and then.
20 mins later, I was still in the shopping mall and I got a text stating that my order was available for collection .
I may be daft but, I'm not stupid!

I went to the pick up point, opened up the package, and immediately asked for a refund.

As I fully suspected on checking their stock, just one hat was showing as available so they kindly parcelled the damaged, grubby one.

I bought a different hat from another shop ( at more that twice the price... Ouch!)

A couple of weeks ago I bought a new hoover from Argos.

Got it home, unpacked it and found a well used hoover complete with a half full dust container :-0

Took it straight back but they didn't have another in stock and wanted to charge me for home delivery or getting one in from another store.

I had already paid parking charges twice, to buy and return, so I wasn't going to pay extra to correct their mistake.

In the end I got a refund and bought it elsewhere.

What has happened to customer service????

soomtimes,

if the item is not in the selected store, there is a charge to obtain it from a store that has it in stock!!

I thought the whole point of "Click and Collect" was that there is no delivery/postage charge! :-S :-S

My sister went online and did a 'click and collect' from a well known 'upper market' department store (that makes good profits) about 10 miles from where she lives.

She went to pick up the item, and was told there would be a £2 charge!!
Sister replied 'So, I check you had what I wanted, reserved it. I then pay money in petrol to come and pick it up, and you want to charge me £2? I don't think I want it now.'.......and walked out!!

I have been renewing my wardrobe after losing weight

Bought online from Bon Marche OK

Was told about another supplier Bon Prix

Went through and selected some items and got to the checkout and tried to pay by C/card

Nope it's by pay pal or debit card otherwise it's open an account which I really didn't want to do

Finally gave in and opened an account as I really wanted the goods

Well when the monthly statement came in ,I paid it by credit card !!!!

How ridiculous.
