David, I'll attest to that.

I've had help from Sylvia, Quinsgran (whom I have not seen on here for a while), AnnCardiff and many others including Rollo.

There are many more but it's only when their names pop up do I remember the assistance people gave me.

It's a boon of a site when you're in need of help. :-D

ChrisofWessex, the builder the caused the din ought to have known
He only lives a few hundred yards away. But it's history now.

Thank you Quinsgan and Sylvia and the others,
Sylvia, a driver without a car is like one unhappy person.
A crippled driver without a car all the more so.

David ..........

that's great news!!

You'll be gadding about soon :-)

I don't drive, never have, but I can understand how a driver would feel tied down if unable to drive.

Lots of interesting people on here David and the games are good
Don't get on here often these days because of other interests but found doing my tree and helping others was a good distraction when my husband was terminally ill and I was home most of the time

Thank you Chris, still makes me feel guilty. About the same time the man from the bungalow opposite me died of cancer, then some one else down the street.
Felt a proper Jonah

I'm sorry you don't as often Wendy and others. I enjoy reading your threads even if I don't join in.

As for talking to the wall, I didn't mean that literally, but talking out loud in an empty room, Ive done that often, frustration.

Three years ago when my injury was new there was a great amount of hammering and battering in my bungalow. Work in progress, demolition of two internal walls, fitting of staircase to upper rooms, fitted kitchen, sliding doors fitted to rear..
All the while my next door neighbour was dying....and I didn't know he was seriously ill. Had I known I'd have postpone the works. Must have been awful for him and his family :-( :-(

Hi David, if it's any consolation I still do talk to the wall occasionally :-D I'm not on GR as much now as I used to be but I have received lots of help and kind words in the past.

I hope that you are soon out and about driving your car again very soon

I am now 80 (a real octopus!) and my hearing has always been a bit difficult. I have hearing aids but they are only any use if I am in a one on one situation in a dead quiet place - and then the batteries decide to go flat or my ears pump out lots of wax to gum up the aids. Most frustrating, so I am going to become a 'hermit' of sorts, just communicate with people by email and on GR and FB.

To all communicators, too many to name, you know who you are, THANK YOU

I may not be 70, but I am past 50, and boy do I have senior moments. I live with a senior, so he must have passed them on to me. and yes this site has helped a lot over the years to let me know that people do care about others.

and the help WOW <3
