I am glad that you had the confidence to venture out with the sat nav. Maybe now the nice weather is coming, you could venture out for the day

If you are having trouble with sticking the sat nav to your car window, try buying a sat nav mat. If you type that into the EBay search, you will see lots, if you don't use EBay, you can probably get one in your local car shop .My sat nav is built in now, but in the last car, the windscreen was at such a funny angle, that we couldn't stick the sat nav anywhere suitable. I bought one of the round mats which is very heavy . You put it on the dashboard and it never moved at all The rectangular ones are probably just as good.

So glad to see this Shirley.

You can now look forward to their next meeting. Michael will be so proud of you.

Another hurdle surmounted.

It takes time but you'll get there and we're all rooting for you.

Am a bit pleased with myself I must admit.

Was having very panicking thoughts of I can't do this as the traffic is so aggressive on the M2/A2 with no leeway for any driver who doesn't know the area

I really did think of not going but I also wanted to thank the ladies for their surport so I needed to do it

The Tom Tom though was great, gave me the confidence I needed l

I didnt need it for the home journey as I remembered the route Michael had guided me via the M 20 and I got home ok

I went to the Haberdashers Askes Hatcham Girls School , New Cross ,London from 1948 -1952

Some years ago I joined the Old Girls Association and then was on the committee for 5 years . Michael would take me to the meetings at the school because I hated driving in that area with the aggressive drivers

Each year ,in March , we went the AGM and dinner at the Blackheath Golf Club and the ladies fussed over him especially as his mobility faded

The chairmen came ,at her request,to his funeral on behalf of the association and his honoury membership

So last evening was this years annual do and I wasn't that confident in my navigation on the M2/A2 to find the right turnoff , [we missed it last year!!!] but I did buy a TomTom some time ago so tried to get it to work .set up a route planner and all ok .had BIG problems getting the darn thing to stick on the windscreen so put it in the radio alcove on the Dashboard and it worked & got me there ok .

Got a lovely welcome and so pleased you are here ,and so sorry about Michael and what happened ??

Lots of genuine hugs and how are you,s and helpful hints on what you may like to take up .

Lots of lovely comments to on how nice Michael was and how he was a lovely guy and will be missed by them too

It was lovely and am so glad I didn't chicken out
:-D <3
