Sounds as though you've had a worthwhile day, Barb.

I told K about your care of the sisters' graves and how your spring flowers were on display now. He told me that the village churchyard he visited on Saturday (the one where he has family connections) is full of spring blossoms - snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils etc, all over the churchyard. I am planning to have a look later this week.

I have had a lovely time this afternoon, the men were working on a huge area of the churchyard which has been really overgrown. They were discovering graves that have been covered up for many many years. Even found 3 war graves from 1918. It was really humbling to see the old chaps with chain saws shovels strimmers etc. My friend and I will be working on that area through the summer months and I can't wait. By the way, my two girls asked where I had been for so long ;-) ;-)
