Kiwis vote no to Ozzy designed flag

The proposed new flag looked a bit wimpish to me.

I find that sentence rather strange, for how can a flag, an object, look wimpish?

However, when I saw them virtually side-by-side, the word 'wimpish' sprung to mind immediately. No wonder the vote went against it.

The kiwis have voted no to a new flag which replaces the Union Jack with a silver fernleaf. This follows on from a similar failed attempt to change the Australian flag ( and change to a republic on top ).

My rellies voted against including the young ones in their 20s.

I thought the proposed new flag looked more like a wrapping for butter. If the flag was good enough for the ANZACS it is good enough for today.
