It was a two-way minor road, with a 20mph speed limit. The window I hit was the rear passenger side. Next time I will take my catapult and a ball bearing. I quite often see drivers take this island on the wrong side for some reason, it is not as though it is a tight corner or anything. Just another manifestation of today's bad manners I suppose.

Not sure how I'd react if it was one of these new driverless cars. :-S

Has Bob been rr'd and it's Genes' way of eliminating trouble makers?

Thank you Kense. :-D

I simply had not made the connection between a RRd post and Bob's possible demise :-D

Alive and kicking still, Bob? ;-)

Surely Mayfield's post is suggesting that if you have had a post RR'd then possibly you shoud be afraid, be very afraid.

Bobtanian, as the saying goes - good thinking, Batman :-D

I remain,

Yours curiously,

Bobtanian

perhaps it was a one way street where both sides of the island are available
???

JoyLouise Report 24 Mar 2016 09:52

Bobtanian, as I read it, surely Bob meant a window of his car rather than the driver-side window.

Mayfield, I still have early-morning brain on because I'm not sure what your comment connects with? I am curious. :-D

Might be GR new tough stance on RR'd posts!

Glad you are OK.

so, you managed to get a punch on HIS window??

as I read it......

presumably, if HE was driving on the wrong side of the island. then the passenger window would've been nearest you?

coo Bob - how awful - has someone put a hit man on to you ;-)

And I thought that kind of thing only happened to me :-S

The last time (a few weeks ago), I was already on the zebra crossing and he and his female passenger (both old codger age like me) looked as though they were both in a trance. My son-in-law,coming the other way, had stopped and he thought they were going to hit me.

Good job I wasn't in a trance too. :-D

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick ..... :-D :-S

...someone deliberately tried to knock me down in a car. I know it was deliberate as I was just about to step off the island in the middle of the road, when he came on the wrong side of said island, straight for me. Some instinct told me to hesitate, and lucky I did or he could have killed me. His passenger, a young woman definitely saw me. I managed to get a punch in on his window, but he didn't stop, and I was too slow to get his number. I had to go to the pub! (Actually, that's where I was heading anyway)
