Mersey, my husband used to sit across the room from me laughing at me laughing out loud at the fun shared on your daily threads !!

It is almost a year since I lost him and I want to say how much I have needed you all. The calls, the cards, the pm,s, gifts and the genuine care I have received has been my life saver. I have never lived on my own before and the long dark winter has been so much less scary, knowing that my friends here are just a moment away.

It is difficult for some to understand the bonds made with * strangers * but for me I will be forever grateful.

I also want to say to you Mersey, that you have the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known <3

That's lovely, Mersey. I have made some lovely friends from these boards over the past 11 years, and have sadly lost several too, luckily I managed to meet many of them.

I have not been so good at staying in touch lately, for several reasons, but I know my friends understand and we can pick up where we left off most of the time. Several have been lifesavers when things have been difficult, often more so than local friends, and for that I am very grateful.

I write this as a thread for all those who like me have
been touched and moved by such friendships....

You ache to give them a hug ,hold their hands,touch their faces,wipe away tears.
Share a laugh, a problem, an understanding,coffee and a jangle over the table while looking at them straight into their eyes
And seeing the real them knowing that these friends came into you life for a reason..

There are genuine online friends out there as well as not so genuine but when they
touch your heart in such away count each and everyone of them as blessings...

I have met some lovely people on here, as I suppose some of you have,some I have not yet, and some I maybe never will ....

Grab and keep hold and make the most of all these genuine friendships take them and
Keep them close as your other friends....
