Don't believe you, Dermot. I can't imagine anything putting you off your food. :-D

Nothing compares to an early morning bowl of Brexit & a large spoon of cynicism. Puts you off more food & everything else for the rest of the day.

BHS cooked brekky, at a table overlooking the river watching them practise for the regatta - lovely this morning. Our BHS restaurant has the best spot in Durham - and nice coffee now, too. :-D

If I do my own, I like bacon with my avocado. :-D

I quite like porridge, but with garlic and oysters??? It would be the most expensive breakfast I'd ever had! :-0 :-0 :-0

I don't cook any recipe that has more than 10 ingredients..... especially for breakfast!

Porridge....... oats, water & a pinch of salt.

These days I cheat & make it in the microwave, my old spurtle is feeling neglected.

Cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast........ maybe porridge in winter........

This Melbourne-based chef has other ideas!

Scroll down to see his version of "porridge" :-S by the time you found all the ingredients it would be lunchtime!

Porridge........ with calamari & chillies???? My grandfather would be horrified.

I often have "smashed avocado" on toast......... with a squeeze of lemon juice & black pepper.......... wouldn't dream of having the version here :-(
