	Very few bastardy bonds survived. Any that do are held in County Record Offices. Somerset has them indexed.

	Barry - they record the action taken to force the father to support his child and the child's mother. The alternative was they'd have to claim support from the Parish Relief. 	sometimes You can find information in the old Parrish council records But some have not survived :-( :-(
