Could someone please tell me how to find the Bastardy Reports for Lewisham, London for 1895? The only ones I could find finished at 1890.

Very few bastardy bonds survived. Any that do are held in County Record Offices. Somerset has them indexed.

Barry - they record the action taken to force the father to support his child and the child's mother. The alternative was they'd have to claim support from the Parish Relief. Think of it as an early form of CSA :-D

Ann - have you looked on the London Metropolitan Archive (LMA) site?

You can find information in the old Parrish council records
But some have not survived :-( :-(
