For C of E m.certs pre-WW1, check if there's an online image first. There are several regions that are quite well-covered online at one or more of Ancestry, FS, FMP. It's a small effort to find out if any of your regions are covered, with potential savings. (These certs are the originals from which the GRO copies originate.) |

Make sure you use the official site and only pay £9.25. There are some rip-off merchants out there with what look like official sites but will charge a hefty mark-up. |

Might sound like a daft question but how do I get copies of these certificates? Can I apply online? I've been doing the family tree for a lot of years but never bought any. I :-S. Thanks in anticipation! Tracy x |
