'Perfect' human beings are not my cup of tea. Boris is ok. ;-)

I used to like living in Ruislip.

Boris won't stand a chance of becoming leader of the Conservative party once Zak Goldsmith gets off the starting block. I am off to the pub now, to dodge the incoming flak.

Despite coming across as a the village idiot he is pretty canny, if not cunning too.

Don't forget that David Cameron has said he does not want to serve as PM for a third time after the next election, and as Boris has already made it plain that he has aspirations to be the next PM clearly thinks that a No Vote would put him in the front line when the next Conservative leader is being chosen.

If the EU vote to stay in is a resounding 'YES' as I hope and expect it will, then Boris will no longer be a front runner.

I suppose when you do not live in areas he's involved with, and are not particularly into politics, it is easy just to see the comedian.
When he's on the telly we are always waiting to see what funny or silly remark he will come out with next.

It is obviously different for people who are in his constituency that have been disappointed with him in his official capacity or otherwise.

Not a chance. :-P

I feel sorry for his wife, his children (legitimate and illegitimate) and his string of former mistresses. They gave him too much "credit".

;-)

Only distantly related, Linda.

His Turkish roots were very interesting, though, as Rollo pointed out.
