I had a medical bill on Tuesday $830... so my win is gone!

I'm expecting a similar bill next Tuesday. :-(

Sometimes you can get lucky as a mystery shopper.

We have stayed in hotels, sadly not abroad, to assess the service and OH, Mr Jammy, once flew to Venice for the day to assess an airline.

OMG, I'll be living in darkness

Only if it is to generate power ;-)

Hamster type wheels, upsized for adults, are to be fitted in all major towns. These will be connected to the electricity grid

Receiving your pension will depend on how may hours you spend on the wheel :-P :-D :-D

maybe they'll give pensioners a bicycle

True, Scozz, but given the mess our economy is in it may go in the next State Budget.

God knows what has happened to all the Royalties generated by the mining boom. Squandered, methinks!. The State has massive debts and the interest alone is pushing WA further into the mire :-(

LadyScozz Report 21 Apr 2016 23:45

I think WA is the only state with a petrol allowance... true or not?

Not much in the way of public transport here!

I was relieved to get the Health Care card.... I was paying around $100 every month for medications.

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2016 22:51

We're the opposite, Scozz.

OH turns 65 next year and then her superannuation comes into the equation.

We'll both be eligible for the Aged Health Care Card so will still keep most of the discounts etc, but I will lose my $560.00 petrol allowance and my two free train trips per year.

We will still get free rail and bus journey's locally and in Perth via our State Senior's cards. We received those when we turned 60 respectively, but the age criteria has now been raised to 65 for new card applivants

LadyScozz Report 21 Apr 2016 12:03

aaah... Himself won't get his super until he's 65... and he just turned 60, so my OAP is safe for another 5 years, I believe it's reviewed every 2 years.

It's frustrating trying to find out what our entitlements are... even Centrelink can't or won't give us a list! Centrelink is Federal, but every state has different rules.... stupid.

I've got a few things organised, free rego on the car, free driver licence, discount on electricity, council rates, but HImself is really impressed that I get a free fishing licence.

I think I can take the train to Cairns & back (from Brisbane) free..... but what would I do when I get there.... by myself?

:-D

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2016 11:23

No; too much super :-|

planning on winning Lotto?

:-D

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2016 09:29

I'm happy to forgo the salary as it may affect my aged pension.

Mind you, I'll be losing that anyway come next January :-(

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 21 Apr 2016 09:22

lol

I had a look, but couldn't see anything about a salary..... I guess a two week all-expenses-paid holiday with $100 spending money every day isn't bad.

I didn't register.

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2016 08:47

Well, my application has gone in (using my Hotmail account), and was then directed to the website which is offering discounted (?) luxury holidays :-|

Not a scam, as such, and one lucky person will be onto a winner, but a glorified advertising project.

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2016 08:37

I'll let you know :-D
