For the last week my drop down boxes for places of Births, Deaths and Marriages haven't been working. It's saying no matches found when the place I'm trying to put is in my tree a hundred times .... Any suggestions on how I can fix this... Thanks :)

Regards San :-)

Do you mean the Predictive Text version of a place name?

There has been reports on the boards that it sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. GR are looking in to it and believed they had sorted it. You could let them know it isn't by contacting support
[email protected].
You may not get an acknowledgement until sometime next week.

In the meantime, just type in the place name yourself.

TBH, a lot of us ignore the suggestions as they aren't historically correct. Counties have disappeared or been renamed, cities & towns have expanded to encompass villages etc etc.
Other members want to put in the full address such as the fictional St Mary's Church, Chelmsford, Essex or 123 Johns Road, Hartley, Buckinghamshire

Thanks for that... I'm a bit ocd and like the full place in so typing Worksop, Nottinghamshire for everyone etc is gonna be a pain. Hopefully they will get it fixed. Thanks for replying... San :-)

An alternative is to create your own word doc with the common places from your tree. Then you could call it up and copy and paste into Genes.

Not entirely sure if it would save time in the long run, but something you may wish to consider.
