The "experts" have changed their opinion.. again.

I don't drink much milk, I have my coffee black, I put yoghurt (low fat) on my cereal... but I use milk in some sauces. I can't wait for the experts to give the OK on full fat cheese!

If you prefer the taste of skim milk, that's ok too.

As I've said for years........ eat what you like, in moderation!

But I still cut ALL the fat off meat.. hate the stuff.

I've always drunk full fat milk at home, and butter, and 'proper' cheese!
I've been of the opinion that as the fat globules in homogenised milk are smaller - they can get through to arteries.
I've never eaten butter substitute 'spreads' - which I found out last month are one step away from being plastic :-0
A couple of years ago, I also went back to lard for frying - fried potatoes are much more tasty when fried in lard..

An article about butter & cheese:

edit: As a young woman, I drank a pint of full fat milk with my lunch every lunchtime (at work) for at least 2 years - and still weighed less than 7 stone :-D

You won't find margarine in our fridge! I've known for years that it's almost plastic... it's grey when they make it, and they add yellow colouring. ewwww

I've had a few health problems recently & have been advised to have lots of acidopholous (hope I spelled that right), mostly found in Greek style yoghurt. I eat lots of yoghurt, but it's not the right acidopholous one..... so I now stink of garlic, because I made tzadziki and I've been eating it with every dinner! I was shopping today and went to the chemist for advice... I now have a bottle of pills that are supposed to be high in acidopholous! Yay! I like tzadziki, and I like garlic..... but there's a limit!

I hope the tablets don't have garlic in them lol

Growing up on a farm, we all drank whatever came from the cow's udder. Since then, I have a developed great appetite for unhealthy eating.

It doesn't matter wht you eat.

12 years ago I was fit (sort of), well within the weight/height ratio, my cholesterol level was 3.5 and I had a heart attack.

Go figure.

It's like when a 'rag' (aka newspaper) runs a story about someone young dying of lung cancer - AND THEY NEVER SMOKED!

Have they never seen/smelt the pollution from vehicles?

We will all die one day - if we live that long!

When we visit a city (all known as "The Big Smoke" in Oz) we can tell when we're getting close because we can smell it.... and see the brown "cloud". The stink of fumes is awful... but we never noticed it when we lived in cities.

I'm quite happy living in a small town, population less than 5,000... on the beach.

Bliss.

Statistics! Male calves drink nothing but milk and they usually live less than a year! ;-)

As said a little of what you fancy! :-D
