Possibly the European wars since May 1945 have slipped your mind - Greece, Cyprus, Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of people died. Moldova, Ukraine remain on a knife edge while Russia has a very aggressive posture. Russia has a highly armed enclave at Kaliningrad with missiles and leading edge fighter jets. |
