Errm.......because she - they - wanted a child. Read the article. Makes sense to me given the situation. I expect they will give consideration to the childs welfare for when they are no longer able to look after him.

There are two parents here so let's not focus on the age of the mother.

Must admit, I was taken aback when I read it but good luck to them, may they have as long as possible with their son.

I believe it but I don't think it should be encouraged.

The doctor behind the IVF treatment apparently says that Reproduction is a fundamental right. I'm afraid I don't think we come into this world waving a list of "fundamental rights" and someone needs to have a bit of common sense where these sort of things are concerned.
