Sydney had a high tide last night.......... SES are guarding houses.

The news is now saying that the people whose houses have been damaged may not be covered by insurance........ something about damage caused by the sea..... flood is covered, but not sea damage. Picky.

I tried to call Son south of Sydney yesterday as I usually do and failed,so sent him an email, which he was able to reply to.

Phone lines were down and he said it was the worst storm in 20 years and they had 3 months rain in 3 days.

Hope to call him today and hear that things have calmed down.

The people who live on The Esplanade were evacuated, the water was up to their doors! The Emergency Services people took them to the local golf club, supplied blankets & they camped out on the floor overnight on Saturday!

Loads of trees & branches down, the roads are awash & covered with leaves & other debris. Himself has gone off with his chainsaw to help out some friends.

Sydney really got battered... one household lost a pool!

Ofcourse, the idiots are out, swimming in the raging sea. As well as putting themselves at risk, they don't consider who may have to rescue them if things go wrong.

On the east coast of Oz, over the weekend.

I thought we were going to be blown away! The rain bucketed down for well over 24 hours. We only got wet, but some people are in a terrible state.
