:-D :-D

this chocolate used to sell "seconds" by the shoe box full ......... "seconds" being mis-shapes, but also ones that had been made longer than 3 weeks. Still good to eat, but they wouldn't sell them at full price.

I once asked how on earth I could keep a shoe box full of either mine or OH's.

Answer

........... freeze them :-D

You put a usuable amount in a freezer bag, wrap that in aluminum foil, seal, put in another plastic bag, and put in the freezer. When you're ready to eat them, bring them out of the freezer, take them out of the first plastic bag, and the foil, and let them thaw out. it takes about 4 hours at room temperature.

Needless to say, I used to snap up those bags of seconds, or even the boxes, when I saw them!!!!

I haven't seen them for 3 or 4 years though :-(

:-D :-D :-D

we went to the local mall today, one of the "jobs" was to do our 2 -weekly shop for chocolates .............

I only eat dark chocolate covered ginger made by a local chocolate company (because I've found it is safe for me to eat). I have 2 or 3 after dinner most nights, keeping the bag in the fridge so I'm not tempted to reach out for more, more, more :-D .

OH likes their soft centres, dark or milk, and the fruit jellies they make. For those of you considering dental implants ............ they're worse than dentures for eating caramels

OH said the assistant started picking out the ginger as soon as she saw him :-D

but she then added that we should think ahead ........ they're closing on July 4 for renovations :-0 :-| :-P

It is a small chain, another of their shops is near where I go for physio every 3 weeks or so.

we won't starve, but I guess we will be doing more driving around .............

Chocolate is made from beans, that's one of your five a day if you eat Cadbury fruit and nut you only need another two to make up your healthy diet!
You can get that with a Chocolate orange and a couple of mint after eights!

Of course I understand that chocolate can also encourage you to exercise.

You know those small Lindt bunnies? The special ones they produced that were not quite six foot tall.

Of course, you can also have chocolate with your mother too.

One can never eat too much chocolate :-P

What harm has chocolate done to the world?
As long as your chocolate is in an easy to reach place, it doesn't cause car accidents.

No-one's ever been shot by chocolate.
Possibly by not enough chocolate, but not by 'too much' chocolate.

Chocolate calms the nerves.

Chocolate stops you eating 'junk' food.

Chocolate is good :-D
