Hi Ian

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking or not, but this is what I just tried with one of my rellies to see what happens....

Click on "Search" at the top of any GR page.

Then in the drop down box that will appear, click on "Search All Members Trees"

A green "Search All Members Trees" will appear.

Add the name of the relative you are searching for a tree match for, along with Year Of Birth, Birth Place etc in the appropriate sections.

A page with Matches for that person will then appear. At the right of each of these will be the Tree Owner. With a "Find Out More" Button at the far right of each potential match.

If you click on one of these boxes, it will give you a "send a message" page which will allow you to contact the Tree Owner.

Sometimes they will reply, sometimes not. Sometimes their membership has lapsed.

If you are contacting them, please do not send just a "can I see your tree" type.
I find that rude and also they do not know who you are and what is your purpose in asking.

If you think you have a tree match and are related to the tree owner, explain in detail the connection and hope they are willing to reply / share info with you.

Best Wishes, Jem

??
If you have a tree on here, any entries you have made won't show up if you search yourself under the Search all members trees, but they will show up to anyone else who inputs the details.
