A tongue in cheek view of the news.

SHADES OF GREY (OR RED; WHITE; AND BLUE)

So it's back to feet and inches,
Shillings and half crowns;
Holidays in Blackpool,
Euro curtains have fallen down.

The gravy train's back in the station,
The Kinnock's are on the dole;
Our own accounts will be duly signed,
No foreigners to bank roll.

'Loads of money' to be splashed around,
To buy our fish and chips;
The regions will get a look-in,
Grimsby gets back its fishing ships.

I know I'm in cloud cuckoo land,
There's always a price to pay;
But joy for 'Little Englanders',
Before Scotland breaks away.

We'll have a new Prime Minister,
'Temporary' cuts must be made;
Unpopular the world over -
We really should have stayed.

The reference to Grimsby takes me back...I worked at the docks from 1975 until 1982 doing Port Health work which also included fish inspection. I remember the 5.00am starts in winter with fondness......not! :-D :-D
