if you are lucky, we will find enough to spare from what we trade to the US and Asia :-D ............

Japan, China, S Korea, etc are of greater importance to us ......... negotiating the Trans Pacific Treaty Partnership is taking place of honour at the moment. Obama would like to have it completed before he leaves office, and our last Prime Minister (Harper) signed a draft copy during the election campaign last October. There has been some questioning as to whether it was legal for him to do that, as parliament had been dissolved until after the election.

That treaty of course includes Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia ........ all in the Commonwealth.

Although there is a trade treaty with the European Union in the works.

When we first joined the EU, I thought we had treated our commonwealth pretty badly. It was one of the strengths we had that could have kept us strong had we never joined.

Those countries have gone on to forge other markets for themselves and I do wonder how they are going to feel about trading with us independently again.
