I´ve always preferred and use a full padded car harness. That way the seat belt slots through it.

We bought a harness clip which goes into the seat belt buckle.
Trouble is, once in it jammed and cannot be removed.
As a result we have had to have the socket replaced at over £100.
There were no instructions as to compatability. Apparently there is no standard for seat belt clips.
I would highly recommend avoiding any item of this type unless bought from an authorised dealer for the make of vehicle.
