Three so far this morning.

I live at 2 Council Houses, Country Lane, Village. Across the road, on the same postcode, is 2 Country Lane, Village and the man who lives there has recently returned home from having had heart surgery.

Over the years we have grown used to having things intended for him delivered to us. Now we are having his nurses turn up with all sorts of exciting looking packages.

The man who once brought his new washing machine to my door was very disappointed when he had took take it back again, and so, I might add, was I!

Pity about the washing machine!

We had a spate last year when ambulances or patient transport turned up in our Close. They'd been using their Sat Nav trying to find a named house on the main road - our houses back on to it. So near yet so far!

Our close numbers run round consecutively so delivery drivers looking for number seven end up knocking on number four.
And Marconi Marine once had a bunch of compliment slips printed with the telephone number one digit out so we had quite a few wrong numbers foe a few weeks.

My phone number is one digit different from the nearest scrapyard. My late friend ran a scrapyard so, when people rang me, I would point them in his direction.
