6 years since the dreadful news of Ashley...

Hard to believe it was six years ago that Cheryl posted the terrible news of her son Ashley's injuries during his service in Basra.

Everyone was shocked, and so sad for a young man whose life changed at that time and of course, we were heartbroken for his family as well.

They all pulled together, and we tried hard to offer as much support as we could.

Ash was so brave, facing many operations and procedures, and worked hard in rehab to rebuild his life.

I just want to wish him and all his family all the best for the future.

I remember that day so clearly and Cheryl's updates on Ashley's progress.

It's not been an easy road for them but loved seeing the video on The Invicta Foundation FB page of Ash out with his mates walking up a flight on stone steps on his new legs. Way to go Ash!

Cheryl and her husband have also worked tirelessly with their charity to assist other wounded veterans.

I saw that on facebook Liz and couldn't believe it was 6 years. He has done so well.

And there was the lovely bracelet that TW made and Daff bought and auctioned towards his fund.

Time really does go so fast doesn't it.

Wishing Ash all the best for the future and his family too. <3

LG your children will be remembering their friend as well. So many lost!

So many others in Ashley's situation too but not all have such a supportive family to help. They all need a lot of mental strength to get their lives back on track and Ashley's done really well. Onwards and upwards, Ash

I also remember Ash and can't believe it's been
six years.
Such a wonderful inspirational family to us all.
The Invicta Foundation video brought tears to my eyes,
the tears were of pride and respect for them all.

I wish them all the best for their future <3
