Equal pay for work of equal value.

I'm afraid that rather than equal rights, equal pay that you mentioned, Mark, I would say equal work, equal pay which Barbra advocates.

It seems much fairer to me.

However I do believe that if the figures you quoted are right, £25,000 as opposed to £2 m seems a somewhat derisory figure.

Woman don't play as many sets as men .Grand slams best of three. Men best of five. woman should get percentage of winnings .disabled they should get equal pay .the men work as hard in the chairs & are passionate about the win & title .

but it is also not so very long ago that Serena would NOT have picked up a cheque for the same amount at any male who won the equivalent title to her.

The women really protested that just a few years ago

so maybe there's hope yet.

I know it doesn't seem fair but I think it's all down to how many spectators the players can pull in - the bigger the star name, the bigger the crowd.

Ok guys and girls... This is purely to see what people's views are.. This weekend Gordon Reid Won the Wheelchair Tennis at Wimbledon and picked up a cheque for £25,000 .. this afternoon Andy Murray did exactly the same and picks up a cheque for £2,000,000 as did Serena Williams...

The same contest. Same location although different court.

Surely in this day and age equality counts
