We've just rolled back from the pub, after celebrating a pretty successful and enjoyable day. :-D

Yes, the event did go ahead, after someone was threatened on the air base last night, and an attempted abduction this morning :-0

It took us an hour and a half to get through security, but all was well once we got in there, and our stall made about £170 :-D :-D :-D

There was lots going on, with displays by the Red Arrows, a fly past by the Lancaster, jets breaking the sound barrier, a mock air battle and much more :-D

phew - it's humid, hot and sticky here

received a fantastic bouquet of roses today in a large box
they were from my GR friend Victor - I typed up his late brother's Japanese war diary = took me longer than it should have really, but got there in the end

he wanted to pay me but I refused - he's 94 years old - quite frisky it seems!! and loves a laugh - we've never met but have had lots of phone calls

I've got the lights.

I'd have to put a big padlock on it, Fly. If I didn't, he'd spread his tools and stuff into it too

When we moved in here, the guy had made an office for himself by putting up a wall and installing phone and lecccy in the back of the garage. K put a sink unit and water in and we made it the laundry/utility room so we could open up the old utility into the kitchen.

It wasn't long before K took the wall down and gradually his rubbish was spread over the sink and worktop. We got the shed and he enlarged it too.

So he'll commandeer any bit of space I'd like to call my own I think. :-0
