'Yesterday in Parliament' was on when my eldest was small, strapped in her high chair, and having her breakfast.
I listened to it then - it had meaning, wasn't just a load of overpaid MP's throwing insults like now.
Lord Tonypandy was the speaker, and the programme always started with him declaring 'Order, Order'.

The first 'grown up' thing my eldest said was 'Order, Order' - in a Welsh accent!! :-S

I was growing up when McMillan was prime minister (listening all the time to the BBC on the radio, I knew he lived in Dining Street!) and we used to listen to Gunsmoke in the evening when Matt Dillon would be keeping law and order in Dodge City.

One and the same as far as I was concerned!

I listen to Radio 4 in the morning - it wakes me up, as I find I have to disagree with some 'statements'
However, with the introduction of Amber Rudd to the Labour party, every time her name is mentioned, I start to laugh.

Why?

My sister's name is Anne-Marie.
She's insisted on being called Anne for years, as, when we were young, our two elder brothers would call her Anne-Marud, to wind her up.

Amber Rudd sounds very similar :-D :-D
