Beautiful day here.... and the parrots must think it's spring :-D

A gorgeous red & green parrot was in one of our trees, just outside the back door....... I tried my usual "whistling & warbling"..... which usually brings the curious birds a bit closer... but it didn't work.... because the stupid stitch in my lip is in the way, and I can't whistle!

:-(

The one stitch is more on the inside of my lip. Even though it's tiny, it's annoying!

I'm still recovering from the leg surgery 8 months ago! The specialist & physiotherapist are very happy with my progress, but I'm getting impatient... I want my life back. :-D Thank goodness my days of "short shorts" are well & truly over, my scar is a beauty!

I have to get another cortisone jab next week, hopefully that will help with the discomfort, mainly in the morning, when I've been lying in the same position all night.

cars from minor surgery can be a pain, literally. I recently (May) had five small Rodent Ulcers (Basal Cell carcinomas [BCC]) removed by curratage and cauterization. each one was very small, two were small bumps, they are healing ok, they are on the top of my left arm, One was small and on my back, can't see it but OH says it is fine and healed, two were tiny flat red marks of about 3mm diameter each, next to each other on my upper chest below the clavicle. They are now Keloid, so both are red shiny bumps a bit larger than the original but very sore. I nearly always get keloid scars and they take years to flatten. these, to ne, are unsightly when wearing summer clothes. However, I would still have any BCC removed

Thanks Andysmum.
I am not overly concerned and not in any pain although the tongue would be soooo much worse. Poor you!

The stitches on my front lower gum have left that area really tight
I can feel scar tissue with my tongue and am pretty sure that it needs to stretch and loosen off before feeling will come back.

Hope Ladyscozz feels better too.
Stitches are jaggy!

In my case it was my tongue. I don't want to be pessimistic but at the time the dentist said "anything up to 6 months."

For full details of how it happened please see your previous thread. I hope you feel better soon - literally! :-)

Poor you. <3 <3 <3

It's been 3 full weeks since I had 2 dental implants fitted and 2 weeks since all the stitches were removed.

3 weeks on and still have no feeling in mid lower lip, down the middle of my chin!

Dentist insists there are no nerves in the stitched area that could be damaged and is certain that feeling will return.
When?

sorry, it's difficult to thpeak

Saw the doc last week, got prescriptions etc, then asked him about a teeny lump on my lip. It didn't hurt, but was uncomfortable.

A tiny, weeny cyst... which he removed yesterday morning, under local anasthetic.

I have one stitch in my top lip... can barely see it, but I can hardly wait until Friday to get it removed!
