Have just spoken on the phone to a friend (UK)
She can't access Ancestry this morning and so phoned them and was told it is a problem with BT and Ancestry.
She can access any other site she chooses online, so not quite sure what is the ongoing problem.

BT has been playing up in the last few days. It could be relevant depending where she lives. We have BT and Ancestry is fine.

Got a 'banner'

Note: You may be experiencing some intermittent service with the Ancestry.com website. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Not sure how I got onto the .com site, but there you go :-S

still up
if you have problems then it is with yr ISP not Ancestry

www.ancestry.co.uk is up.
It took 192 ms for a 200 response code with an ip of 66.43.22.170.

Rang them this morning and I was advised to change to Chrome. Will have another go. I don't have BT so that is not the problem. At least I know now that I am not on my own. Nuisance though.
Hmph

I have been on Ancestry twice this morning, early on and a few minutes ago and have had no problem at all. I am on Chrome Janet so that may be why I haven't had a problem. :-)

Janet

Janet Report 28 Jul 2016 12:17

Can I just check that you have used the Search facility? I have no problem with opening my tree or any other tab apart from Search.

Yes I've just been searching marriages and found the one I wanted. :-)

All problems seemed to have been sorted with my access, just left it for the day and tried fifteen minutes ago and heyho all systems go.

I seem to be able to access it using Firefox but not through Internet Explorer.
