The Range is starting to get a dribble of Christmas stuff in and noticed shops are clearing shelves to make way for the early buyers. :-)

My daughter is already using her 2017 diary. Many people work 6 months ahead in their jobs, she sometimes is working a year ahead.

Schools also work well ahead. I remember the children bringing home a sheet of paper each July with the return date after the summer holidays and the holidays for the next school year.
:-)

Many of next year's calendars 'start' with September of the current year.
Effectively it is a 16 month calendar.
They've been on sale here for a few weeks.
As also noted, some stores have new calendars that are several years old!
Dunno why they keep them in stock.

in case you never noticed pcs, smart phones and half the web sites have calendars and planners of various levels of complexity. This has left firms with the problem of giving out something else than diaries and calendars for the new year

Some of us old dinosaurs don't have smart phones, and don't want to fire up the computer every time we need to plan something. We prefer to have a calendar hanging on the wall. Especially a couple of years back when the local ladies in S-in-L's village did a "Calendar Girls" for charity. In the best possible taste of course. S-in-L needed a double spread! (Don't tell her I said that)
