My Great Aunt was the second wife of a very high society Army Captain. His Grandfather was knighted for his service to, in particular, to Banbury.

GA's Husband's Uncle married into the peerage of the highest order.

Now I found this Capt and his first family on the Census'. But by 1927 he had married my Great Aunt.
I just knew there was something there.

The first wife divorced the Capt on the grounds of adultery in 1926.
He had been caught (or perhaps it was a set up in order to get a divorce) in an inn with another woman!
Was it my Aunt? Or did they just want to get a divorce, and that was the only way!

I found quite a bit about my Great Aunt Frances breeding and showing Champion Old English Mastiffs
And a scandal :-0 :-0 :-0

Also yesterday I found an article for my Bedford 2xGreat Grandfather. This particular charity funds people to have apprenticeships. He was one of the lucky ones that were picked by lot to be a Drapery Apprentice. Later on he had his own Drapers' shop in Hertfordhire.
