Anything re-usable that I don't want, I leave out the front. It has usually gone after a day or so.

We did something similar when we needed to clear a house. Even a rather wilted pot plant went :-S

It saved quite a lot of effort taking them to the dump.

I left an old freezer outside recently, as we have regular 'scrap' merchants prowling the area. Nothing happened for a couple of days, then someone ripped the metal parts out and left the rest. At least it wasn't so heavy to take to local recycle afterwards.

Neighbour opposite left a big karcher washer outside his back gate .i could see it from my kitchen window which is the front on my house. He had been out doing gardening etc and I thought he had forgotten it .

Went over and knocked on his front door and he said thanks but it's not working so left it out in hope!!!

Saw later an open backed Lorry drive down the street and stopped a little down from the cul de sac .it backed up and a guy jumped out and grabbed the washer and and drop it quickly in the back of the Lorry and they drove off at speed .

They will only get scrap for it :-D

:-D :-D :-D

Actually that may have happened next door to us. They stuck a fridge on the verge ouside which stayed there for a couple of weeks and then it disappeared overnight.

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old fridge, he put
it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: 'Free to good home.
You want it, you take it.'
For three days the fridge sat there without anyone looking twice.
He eventually decided that people were too mistrustful of this deal.
So he changed the sign to read: 'Fridge for sale $50.'

The next day someone stole it!
