So far I keep hitting blank walls, I have sent for marriage certificate hopefully that give some more information. It's been so hard growing up without a dad being teases builed, seeing children with there dad and I had children and want to tell him and now I am a grandmother more for me tell my dad if only I could find him . I praying a and hoping that one day my wish will finally come true. Who knows I may have other family xx

Well the cert should take you a step backwards in his family

It will probably be small steps at a time but that will keep you on the right track

I need some help please I have just received a copy of my parents marriage certificate it says that my father William garth Anthony West was 26 years old at the time of marriage which was on the 18th February 1967 and that his father was frank Cecil West but no mention of his mother it has his last address I don't know what I do next as I still can't find him please can anyone help me

Found they'd sold that house a while ago :-(. Can't find them now they have disappeared so will try other than electoral roll. Can't find children of uncle's marriage names too common.

Would like to thank everyone of you for all your help, but it seems I am destined not to meet him or any family, as every way I turn he just disappears. Even family, all the effort you have and time I appreciate and will pay it forward. I will never give up hope, I was a baby 1 year old my mum said and now I am 48 nearly 49 not yet lol. I have been searching since I was old enough and the information I have learnt and received on here is priceless, my family tree has grown and so nice evening to know names finally of my grandparents and possible uncle and aunt wow. Hi everyone I need some advice, I seem to have hit a brick wall. I was sent a message by someone telling me that my dad was dead, I am not sure either way as I can't trace this and when asked any leads they deny my dad having even married there mother. I am considering paying a company a lot of money to search for my dad as despite my efforts yet again I have come up blank my question is this viable I am so confused after receiving that message saying my dad was dead thank you for reading

Yes it was someone on here

Yes it was the Hereford address but the house was sold sometime ago so they have moved away and I can't see them on the electoral roll since the move.

If the person told you your father was dead did they say what year or even where he died? A recent death won't be online yet.

That address was to do with my uncle not my dad, the person said they think my dad was married to another person and she is now a widow that is how they came to there conclusion they didn't give me a year they did give me her name and said she had other children
