I sent Anne a PM last week about a man with the same name as her dad marrying in Bristol 1970 and 1986.



I did apologise to Anne for getting her hopes up after I realised he wasn't her dad, as his age suggests he was born about 1952 when I found him on electoral records.

2 of the 3 marriages I see are for another person with the same middle initials in Bristol, so not your dad.

Good find Rose, only he doesn't use his initial for his second name like before but his wife has correct name.

Anne has contacted me with the contents of the e-mail sent to her. The name is correct for the 3rd wife but I have found 2 woman same name on the electoral roll with different males, no Williams found and several years covered. It maybe true she is his widow, then again we can't tell. Have told Anne to be cautious if she contacts her.

I have also told Anne about your find Rose and sent her the address and suggested a letter 1st to this possible uncle may be the best way.

What about the address in Rochester? There's a couple who appeared there right after Hereford.

That address was to do with my uncle not my dad, the person said they think my dad was married to another person and she is now a widow that is how they came to there conclusion they didn't give me a year they did give me her name and said she had other children

Yes it was the Hereford address but the house was sold sometime ago so they have moved away and I can't see them on the electoral roll since the move.

If the person told you your father was dead did they say what year or even where he died? A recent death won't be online yet.

Hi everyone I need some advice, I seem to have hit a brick wall. I was sent a message by someone telling me that my dad was dead, I am not sure either way as I can't trace this and when asked any leads they deny my dad having even married there mother. I am considering paying a company a lot of money to search for my dad as despite my efforts yet again I have come up blank my question is this viable I am so confused after receiving that message saying my dad was dead thank you for reading

Would like to thank everyone of you for all your help, but it seems I am destined not to meet him or any family, as every way I turn he just disappears. Even family, all the effort you have and time I appreciate and will pay it forward. I will never give up hope, I was a baby 1 year old my mum said and now I am 48 nearly 49 not yet lol. I have been searching since I was old enough and the information I have learnt and received on here is priceless, my family tree has grown and so nice evening to know names finally of my grandparents and possible uncle and aunt wow. Have sent info back to her gt grandparents so Ann can put them on her tree and perhaps find matches. :-)

Found they'd sold that house a while ago :-(. Can't find them now they have disappeared so will try other than electoral roll. Can't find children of uncle's marriage names too common.

All this work already done Shirley, have sent PM telling Anne to read back as all info there now she's confirmed her grandfather's name.

He has an elder brother Cecil M born 1939
