All good wishes. I was diagnosed in May and had an operation soon after followed by radiotherapy when the wounds healed.

Doing ok so far. :-D

Tamoxifen and regular mammograms now but they are confident they got it all.

I would like to thank you all for your good wishes and kind thoughts. It does help to know that many of you have been through it with good results.

We are being very positive as to the outcome. Luckily she did catch it early and is being seen by all the right people and having all the various tests. Say what you like about the NHS but she has been seen within 2 weeks from the start.

It's s*ds law that it has happened now as I am going into hospital next Tuesday for a complete knee refit, so i am going to be a lot of use to her, I don't think.

Once again my thanks to one and all.

Phyll

Phyll

I can imagine your concern, but as others have said, great strides have been made in care and treatment.

My thoughts and prayers are with you that there is a successful outcome for your daughter.

I wish her strength, and all the best.

I trust that it has been found early, and that treatment has started.

but it is not a death sentence, you know.

I am a breast cancer survivor twice over.

Once in 1975. Mastectomy and no further treatment

A second cancer found in 2011 .............. NOT a recurrence but a different type.

I opted for another mastectomy, and had no further treatment.

So 21 years have passed since my first diagnosis, and no problems.

Oh dear, I am so very sorry to hear this, but as Anne Cardiff so rightly says treatment has come on in leaps and bounds, and it isn't all doom and gloom. I have a lovely Dutch friend who has just been given the all clear after treatment for breast cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with you Phyll and daughter <3

Positive thoughts for your daughter, Phyll. A worrying time for you all but
I Have friends who were diagnosed 20 years ago who are fine now so don't despair.

My o.h.'s sister had a lumpectomy two weeks ago.
