OH has had a bad shoulder, very painful, for 8 weeks. He kept hoping it would improve but has not been able to play golf so I knew it hurt. Sunday he slipped getting out of the bath and banged his bad shoulder. so I persuaded him to go to the doctor. We really can't complain. He phoned yesterday at 0820 (got through the fourth time), appointment yesterday afternoon, probably a frozen shoulder. but the Dr spotted he had not had a blood test for two years, appointment this morning. The doctor also said he should go for an Xray to rule out arthritis, gave him the number to ring, he rang yesterday afternoon, appointment this afternoon. When he phoned the woman said, Oh yes, shoulder isn't it? Now that is service by the NHS!!! :-) :-)

You telling me Sue, he is talking about suspending membership for six months. And he is bored already and looking for another hobby. He misses the companionship too.

We can't get that sort of service here....but I do hope it improves.

I had a cortisone injection for a frozen shoulder a few years ago and must say it did the trick,as I had been doing exercises with a theraband on the newel post recommended by a physio ,but still needed the injection

I had what was thought to be a frozen shoulder several years back, for the second time in my life. The pain was unbearable. I attended the local a and e eventually as I was feeling sick with pain, and it turned out to be calcific tendonitis. I think I had physio to ease the pain, but can't remember now.

I hope T's problem can be diagnosed and dealt with so he can enjoy his golf again.

Thanks, he can dull the pain with Ibrofen, but it will be good when he gets the diagnosis. (that takes ten days).
