Oh Rollo. :-D

I was using my very British sense of humour, I do know they were just following rules.

On both the English and French sides of the channel all shipping passes in single file as the regulations of passage in this international waterway demand it. There is nothing especially English about it just practicality. Large vessels not keeping to the rules run a very real risk of running aground.

British intelligence must have loved the opportunity for electronic spying soon to be repeated at Gibraltar. Given that Russian ships are extremely fuel inefficient I wonder if they will take the chance of cheap bunker oil at Gib ? The carrier has a range of about 4 weeks which does not compare very well with the USS Nimitz at 18 months.

"she's not much of a carrier, but she's the only one I've got"

Oct 21 1805 the wooden walls of England did their bit in defeating Napoleon's nasty plan for a European common market from Lisbon to the Urals run by the French. There seems to be little mention as Putin's navy sails down the English (we hope) Channel that our Russian teddy bear has chosen Trafalgar Day for his demo. Some people learn to be rude others are just born that way.

Of course there is no connection with the shutdown of all Russian media bank acounts in London. Or todays's partial internet shutdown.
