Weeks ago I said I was finally feeling ready to go out on my own to have some egg and chips.

Yesterday, I kind of did it. One of my neighbours wanted something from Homebase that she could not carry on the bus so I took her there to get it, without even thinking it through, and, feeling hungry when I came home, I waited for Fred's mate to get here and we went off to the cafe for egg and chips.

I did need to get back in my corner for a while afterwards and OH had to get fish and chips for his own tea but I did it.

Well done Sharron, maybe a small step but it's one in the right direction. <3

Brilliant - it was probably as you just reacted rather than had the time to 'think about it'. You Go, Girl!

It was not just egg and chips either, it was syrup sponge and custard as well!

Today I have potted the mincemeat, the whole process of making that has taken me six days.

It is important for me to know that I can still go back into my corner when I need to and to leave a job if I need to but it is all getting a bit easier every day.

Going to Homebase is difficult at the best of times :-(

I didn't go in.

Next month we are going to Cornwall, Redruth, because there is a shop there that sells patchwork fabric and I always have to think of a reason to go anywhere, and I have said I will do some of the driving.

I don't want to drive anything bigger than my Smart at the moment but I do feel confident enough to drive on strange roads again.

We will only have one night, two at most, away.

Well done, Sharron. Enjoy the trip to Cornwall.

Next year our lovely Norfolk Coast? I can recommend a few reasonably priced caravans for rent.
