Hugh Laurie. First British actor I've ever known to get the American accent spot on!

Did you know that in one episode of Dr. House he started limping on the other leg and switched the cane to his other hand just to see if anyone noticed? Nobody did.

Wasn't one storyline about him having an experimental operation? It fixed his limp but then he over exercised it by running etc and undid the repair.

How is it that the creator of Harry Potter is a multi millionaires many times over,
while Charles Dickens, who wrote all his masterpieces with a quill pen, often in candle light only earned a modest income ?

He had 10 children, 9 of whom survived to adulthood?
Plus a wife, mistress and assorted relatives he had to support. Then, of course, were the servants his 'status' required him to have and travelling expenses, entertainment etc?
