A body that has functioned on cortisol for most of its life is going to have a few problems when the cortisol is no longer flooding it I would think.

If it keeps happening when you're hungry, mention it to your GP. He might want to check if it's linked to insulin levels. See if a sugar-hit helps as a quick fix if you're going out to eat.

I have only just tied it together.

Have you got a favourite cracker and topping you could eat when you feel 'that' feeling, to see if it helps?

If it does, next time, you could eat a couple before you go, and have less for lunch.

But it helps a lot if you don't have a panic attack about eating it.

Well, you can be hungry before lunch!! ;-)

Still pretty silly because we were going to go out to lunch.

If you are hungry it can make you feel queasy which may make you feel unwell.

That came as a bit of a surprise but I have sussed out why it happened.

Oddly enough, I think it was because I was hungry. Thinking back I can see a pattern.

Just be patient with yourself Sharron. Sounds as if you are having an off day, or had a Monday morning feeling. :-)

I really, really thought I was almost over my problems, I really, really did.

OH starts as Santa on Wednesday. He needs to go and see the grotto today and take his child protection certificate t show them.We had arranged to have a bit of lunch in the tea room where we have been several times before.

I was up and ready, looking forward to it, going to wear my new parka and everything.

Come the time to go, I just could not do it!

A bit of a way to go yet then?
